Society6

B&R by MizEnScen
I just became acquainted with Society 6 today, and have already spent hours and hours going through some of the most amazing (and affordable) art I have seen in a while.  Everybody keeps going on and on about 20X200, but I say Society6 is where it is at.  Here are a few of my favorite prints...

Put Your Records On by Bianca Green

They Come by Scott Listfield

Champagne dreams and a beer budget...

Urban Outfitters is a store that, in my youth, used to suck my money away as fast as I could make it.  Now that I'm older and work in an office building with a boring dress code, it's harder to find things that are age appropriate and well...yeah.  I live in the NW and mini skirts and t-shirts with a bunch of holes in them aren't great investment pieces... but you know what are? These dresses by Stine Goya Anthia and these shoes by Jeffrey Campbell.  Now, while these pieces evoke "i want it i want it i want it" temper tantrums inside of me, they are all well above doable in price.  All I can do is pray to the shopping fairy that they are around long enough for employee appreciation week and I can use my friends and fam discount to score all three. Maybe by then they'll even be on sale and I can pump my fist in the air in victory. --See how I handle tantrums? It's very effective.

I love everything about her: Her offbeat lifestyle, her talent, her aesthetic, the way she talks... I wish I could meet her for tea and discuss our latest reads and favourite artists.  Swoon...

Apparently I have an obsession...

link to website

I have been on the hunt for a great watch for about 2 years now.  The problem is, I have teeny tiny wrists, so I can't wear watches with link-bands, only leather. To add to my tall list of specifications, I am currently obsessed with rose gold and want the watch to feel sleek and understated.  I was having a really hard time with this until I ran across Nixon's Shutter SS.  I must have this watch.  I am literally debating not paying my student loan so that I can have this watch.  Please cosmos, make it financially possible to attain this beauty, because if I don't have it I will throw a fit and be late to everything, on purpose.

The perfect song for today...

If I could be anywhere right now...

I would be in the beautiful Grand Hotel Tremezzo on Lake Como, Italy.  This place is absolute heaven.  Beautifully manicured gardens? Check. Breath-taking scenery?  Check.  Old Hollywood cred? Check!  Greta Garbo was one of the first starlets to stay here, and I can imagine her draped on a terrace overlooking the lake and sighing "I'm finally alone."

Dreaming of...

Burrying my face in this cake.  Spotted on Minted Condition...

I'm dreaming of a girls night out...

Susie and Friends - 2008
Since moving to Portland I have really cultivated a super great group of girlfriends.  I think I'm in need of some girl-talk and a cocktail or two.  This picture by Alex Prager pretty much sums it up...only with more clothes on....

I am dreaming of...

Cyclops Deluxe Edition from Mr. Jones Watches originally spotted on Design*Sponge

This watch!  I think it would be a little too chunky for my tiny wrist, but I love how simple and artistic it is.  It would look so amazing with a LBD and some matte red nails...

Dreaming of the perfect reading spot...

the perfect library via Hither and Thither

the perfect bedroom via Dream Book Design

Today is cold and rainy in Portland (of course), and all I want to do is stumble around a library for the perfect book, and curl up in bed to devour it.  There is literally nothing better than the smell of an old book and becoming so entwined in the story that everything around you fades away.  Maybe this weekend I'll make this dream come true...

Dreaming of my own space...

2010 was not my blogging year, but 2011 is a different beast entirely.  I know it's only been five days, but I have blogged everyday.  Check out my new blog  I'm So Proud Of Myself.  I'm striving to make myself proud everyday by stepping outside my comfort zone.

Since I have been so proactive lately, I can't help but daydream of the perfect place to curl up and explore the world...
